The Telling Shawl is a traditional crochet crescent shawl that uses gentle shaping to create a shallow yet generous silhouette. The curved shape sits securely around the shoulders without adding too much bulk around the neck, making this a comfortable layering shawl and transitional piece.

Intentional two-color striping influences the design’s name and creates a pleasant sense of progression. The color bands gradually expand as the shawl grows until the contrasting color gently overtakes the shawl. The combination of stripes and stitches gives that “just one more row” feeling we all crave, keeping the project engaging but far from basic.
