Hedgerows Warmer Knit Pattern
The Hedgerows Warmer by Rebecca Carlson of Rosalie’s Daughter is a versatile pattern for adventurous beginners that you can customize for your own warming needs.
Pattern Details:
Worked top down, the design can be used to create a standard bandana-style cowl for neck comfort, a kerchief-style shoulder warmer that wraps your upper torso in a hug, or a kerchief scarf perfect for when you want flexible styling.
All three options are worked flat, with a minor assembly for the cowl and shoulder warmer. The cowl uses a small tab that is knitted separately and sewn on one wingtip, creating a tab for the other wingtip to pass through. This method means the cowl can be worn without passing it over the head and allows the wearer to adjust the fit as loosely or as tightly as they wish during use. The shoulder warmer requires one small mattress stitch seam to be sewn at an angle along the back, allowing the maker to customize the opening for the shoulders.
