Bad Sheep Yarn's Christmas Advent Box of 2024 is sure to be the best gift ever!
This year, we have put together a 24-day Advent tenderly packed inside a stunning keepsake box. Our theme is "Christmas at the Yarn Shoppe," and all the yarn and presents inside the advent celebrate the beauty of the yarn community we love and adore. You'll see nods to inside jokes from our Live videos, bits and pieces from our hometown and family in North Pole, Alaska, and, of course, gorgeous yarn.
This is a preorder! Our quantities are limited and there are no returns or exchanges. (Unless it's our mistake. But we promise, it's going to be wonderful.) All Advent preorders will ship in November, 2024. We suggest opening on December 1st but if you decided to open it right away, please don't start sharing on social media until December 1st. Then use the hashtag #BSYadvent2024
Most of the contents of our holiday Advent boxes are a surprise. Each skein and each gift was either handmade or chosen with lots of care.
I can't give exact details, but here are the basics:
Yarn made exclusively for the 2024 Advent from our 75/25 Superwash Merino and Nylon blend. We don't have a themed color palette, but the yarn matches the colors in the box art.
-12, 20-gram Fingering Mini skeins exclusive to the 2024 Advent (93 yards each)
-1 full 100-gram Fingering Skein exclusive to the 2024 Advent (462 yards)
-Several special gifts inspired by the art on the box.
-A knit or crochet pattern designed just for the yarn in the 2024 Advent.
-Multiple handmade gifts by artisans & makers around the United States.
This year we worked with some wonderful makers and artists to put together an advent experience we hope you will treasure. They are credited all over the box, and we'll continue to highlight them as we go. But first, an incredibly huge shout out to Elizabeth Sparg for her amazing box art. And the photo only shows the front!

This year we will be offering two different preorder drops. If you miss the first one, click "Notify Me When Available" and we'll send you a reminder to let you know once they are back in stock. There are limited quantities available. Last year, both of our preorders were sold out in under an hour.

Box Dimensions: L 16.8" x W 5.3" x H 13". The box includes 24 drawers with custom artwork on the outside and inside of the box. The alignment of the artwork on the front my vary from box to box, but we try to get everyone as close as possible.
Free shipping is included for all orders in the US and Canada.
Wound skeins are not eligible for returns or exchanges. Adding winding to your order may add 3-5 business days to order fullfillment. We are not offering winding services for our Mulberry Silk Fingering yarn. It's not compatible with our winders.

Fingering: 75/25 Superwash Merino & Nylon; 462 Yards; 100 grams. Basic Fingering is our super strong, low pill fingering weight yarn. This is your standard daily wear sock yarn.

Sparkle Fingering: 75/20/5 Superwash Merino/Nylon/Stellina; 438 Yards; 100 grams. A strong spun sock weight yarn with a tiny hint of glimmer spun into the yarn.

Sport: 100% Superwash Merino Wool; 328 Yards; 100 grams. Basic Sport is a beautiful 3-ply sport weight yarn with beautiful plies and a luminous shine.

DK: 75/25 Superwash Merino & Nylon; 245 Yards; 100 grams. A super strong, low pill, DK base. Perfect for sweaters and accessories and blankets.

Worsted: 100% Superwash Merino Wool; 218 Yards; 100 Grams. This Merino yarn is perfect for hats, sweaters, and anything that you want to keep you extra warm and cozy.

Bulky: 100% Fine Superwash Merino Wool; 106 Yards; 100 Grams. So soft and silky bulky weight, this 2 ply bulky yarn is made of dreams and great for beginners.

Suri Lace: 74/26 Suri Alpaca/Silk; 328 Yards; 50 grams. Lace weight This is a NON Superwash fiber blend. Do not throw in a washer & dryer. Steam blocking is suggested. Although this is a standard lace-weight yarn, the recommended needle/hook size is tricky. This yarn is amazing as a mohair substitute or held double with another merino base to create a gorgeous 'halo.'
Mulberry Silk Fingering: 100% Grade A Mulberry Silk; 438 yards; 100 grams. This base is pure shiny luxury. 100% pure silk is great for shawls and garments with amazing drape and shine.

Although most of our bases are superwash wool, we recommend that all finished projects are hand-washed and laid flat to dry.
Winding (Caking) services are offered on most products and it adds 3-5 addtional days to the fulfillment time. We do not offer winding services for Mulberry Silk bases. Returns are not accepted for wound/caked skeins.

Most products are shipped from our studio within 3-5 business days. Customers who add caking/winding services can expect an additional 3-5 business days before their order is shipped.
If you would like faster shipping for test knits or projects, leave a note on your order, and we'll try our best to ship it out fast!
Bad Sheep Yarn strives to represent the true colors of our yarn in the photos we post. We also work hard to make sure that larger orders are in the same color batch. In spite of all this, please keep in mind when ordering that each batch is done by human hands; and that some computer monitors have different light settings.
