WHEN:
Cast on: January 25, 2025
IMPORTANT DATES:
January 25, 2025: MAL Cast on Date
There is no set end date to allow everyone to work at their own pace and complete this on your timeframe.
DETAILS:
There are 2 Knit patterns and 2 Crochet patterns to select from. (see Patterns section for more details)
Beginner patterns are free; Intermediate patterns are paid.
The paid pattern was designed specifically for this MAL by Becca Carlson (Rosalie’s Daughter). We are thrilled to have her partner with us on the MAL and support her as both a designer and community member.
You can choose from any of the patterns listed or you are free to choose any pattern you would like to make.
Yarn pairings can be discussed on the BSY live to help you in selecting yarn if you want to purchase specifically for the MAL. You are also welcome to use any yarn you already have available in your stash.
Please feel free to post questions, progress pictures, discuss yarn pairings, and more in the BSY Community Facebook page.
Becca Carlson has also offered to help you directly with color selections for the paid patterns she has designed. Just reach out to her with a Facebook message and she’d be happy to do so.
PATTERNS:
Knit:
Beginner: Poppy Poncho by Wool & Grace
Intermediate: Tessellated Poncho—Knit by Rosalie’s Daughter
This knit pattern and kits can be found on badsheepyarn.com under patterns and kits.
This intermediate-skill poncho is worked flat and modularly in six colors (DK weight), starting from a mitered square centerpiece. It then involves working out in a series of mitered squares along two sides. Once complete and blocked, the two side panels are seamed in the back (just the one seam!).
Crochet:
Crochet:
