We do not offer skein winding services.
Bad Sheep Yarn strives to represent the true colors of our yarn in the photos we post. We also work hard to make sure that larger orders are in the same color batch. In spite of all this, please keep in mind when ordering that each batch is done by human hands; and that some computer monitors have different light settings. Our ultimate goal is to create something beautiful, as close to the photo as we can, just for you.

Oh, my everlasting goodness! What colors! What depth! What an absolute treasure! And the feel in your hand! There are no words. Such a pleasure to knit; it was even a pleasure to wind! Picture this gorgeous yarn - if you will - knit on size 13 needles in a glorious ladder stitch ('cause simple is better with variegation like this.) The yarn just speaks for itself. I'll send photos of the finished shawl -- someday, if I remember. Meantime, y'all have to see and knit this yarn!! Amazing.
I previously order the sport weight for a cowl for my daughter and I the shades are stunning . I then order fingering weight for the make along fade Again for my daughter and I think the fingering weight is even prettier! . Making a 2+ for my daifghter who is clinical manager at a rural hospital in the med surge unit and worked thru the covid pandemic. She is always happy with sweaters and at times has been known to wear my hand knit gansy inside out ( because the right side is soiled saying ti looks just as good on the wrong side. thank you Marcie for your wonderful dye creations! I am addicted.
This yarn is absolutely one million times more stunning than the photographs show (somewhat to my chagrin, as it means that photographing it myself has proven to be a trial). It is so soft and the fabric it creates is so lovely
I chose this yarn for my first-ever hand-knit sweater and couldn’t be more pleased. Beautiful, soft, and easy to work with.
The colors are gorgeous and I will enjoy knitting with this yarn, but I felt compelled to deduct one star for the difficulty I had winding the yarn into a ball. Despite being very careful in placing the yarn on the swift (this is not my first rodeo), the strands of yarn in the hank were somehow tangled in such a way that I had to keep pulling one end through the tangle to free it up. I eventually got the job done, I just hope my other skeins wind more easily.
Photo do not do this yarn justice. It is so much more beautiful in hand. I will be petting it an number of times before I cake It! Thank you!
I love the range of purples in this yarn, it should work well for the pattern color in some stranded mittens I plan to make.
